SAP MM Module Overview
The material management module (SAP MM ) in SAP consists of several components & sub components . The most famous and most common are master data, purchases, and inventory.
All these components have their own sub components, which are necessary for certain business processes, and all processes are performed using transactions.
A transaction (in SAP) means processing certain information to meet the requirements of a business process. For example, if you bought 10 garbage cans, you can run a specific transaction code (T-code) that represents these changes in SAP. Most business processes include multiple SAP transactions and are distributed across one, two, or more modules.
Let's take a brief look at the various sub-modules in SAP MM

purchase
Purchasing is a component of the SAP MM module, and their process can be roughly illustrated in the following figure.
MRP (planning of material resources) creates a procurement proposal and is later converted into an application. The next step is to assign a source for the application and release the application. PR is converted into an order, and after receiving the goods to complete the purchase, you can create an invoice document. Payment is also processed (in the FI module).
